How our program works:
The Oklahoma Community Land Consortium’s shared equity program allows lower income individuals and families to purchase homes for a significantly reduced prices. When homeowners move, they agree to “pay it forward” and pass on the benefits they received by selling their home at an affordable below market value to another income-qualified buyer.
When the homeowner sells their home they receive they amount they have invested in the property, plus a portion of the equity accumulated over the time they have lived in the home.
The Community Land Trust model is designed to provide access to land and housing to people who might otherwise be denied access; to empower residents, and to preserve the affordability of housing permanently.
